On May 5th another mission begins with the long-awaited release of “Mission: Impossible III,” with Tom Cruise returning to the role of Secret Agent Ethan Hunt. This time, the mission includes more A-list stars than ever, including this year’s Academy Award best actor winner, Philip Seymour Hoffman, as a remorseless arms dealer whose nefarious activities draw Hunt out of retirement to pursue him. Hunt’s crack team of experts includes the return of Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, as well as Johnathan Rhys Meyers, Maggie Q, and Keri Russell. And in addition to saving the world from Owen Davian (Hoffman), Hunt must also save his gorgeous girlfriend, played by Michelle Monaghan. The celebrity-packed cast is rounded out by Laurence Fishburne and Billy Crudup.
Though onscreen Cruise is well-known in his “Mission:Impossible III” role of Ethan Hunt, in real life the superstar is better known for playing the part of new father, having recently celebrated the birth of daughter Suri Holmes Cruise with wife, Katie Holmes. Being a new dad hasn’t kept him off of the interview circuit, however, with recent appearances with Kanye West on TRL and at New York’s Tribeca Film Festival.
